Baseball has been the foundation of my life. After playing four seasons as a professional pitcher with the Baltimore Orioles and one season with the Sultanes de Monterrey, I realized my journey in the game wasn’t just about what I could achieve, it was about what I could give back.
In 2024, I founded NJ Healthy Heat to help high school and college athletes reach their full potential. As a former professional pitcher and college shortstop, I bring a unique perspective to the game, combining elite-level experience with practical coaching in pitching, fielding, strength, nutrition, recruiting and the mental side of performance.
My approach is simple: give athletes the tools, structure, and guidance they need to develop their skills safely, consistently, and confidently. I focus on building not just stronger players, but smarter, healthier athletes who can perform at their best while avoiding injuries and setbacks.
At NJ Healthy Heat, it’s about more than throwing harder or fielding cleaner. It’s about creating habits, mindset, and discipline that last beyond the field, helping players maximize their opportunities and leave the game with no regrets.

Joseph Aragona leads our Strength & Conditioning at NJ Healthy Heat, overseeing all remote training alongside Matt. Together, they combine Joe’s deep expertise in strength and performance with Matt’s professional baseball background to create a complete program that develops both the body and the player.
As a personal trainer and coach, Joe is dedicated to accountability and results. He works closely with athletes through weekly check-ins by text, email, or call, while also utilizing advanced tools like like Trainerize to track progress. Every athlete receives customized strength programming designed to help them reach their goals, along with nutritional guidance to fuel performance and improve overall health.
Joe’s approach goes beyond workouts; he focuses on consistency, structure, and sustainable progress. His knowledge of strength and conditioning ensures that every athlete in the program is building the foundation they need to stay strong, stay healthy, and compete at their highest level.
